At GBC, we invest heavily in facilities and resources to ensure our students benefit from the latest state-of-the-art multimedia resources on the market. From the moment you step out of the lifts, you are struck by bright colours and a warm atmosphere among students and staff immediately you feel the GBC vibe. It’s a really exciting place to be. And understandably so, there are a lot of happy people around everywhere you look.
All our classrooms are modern, spacious and air-conditioned. Classrooms are furnished with appropriate furniture and equipments for effective learning to take place. All classrooms are equipped with computers, projectors and televisions.
The College provides a student kitchen and student area with a number of computers for students to access. This area also allows students to read library books, relax, meet others and converse. This area is also used as a spot to find information on social activities, rooms available to rent/share and other general information. Free tea and coffee is available for students in student kitchen area. Students can also buy snacks, drinks and coffee from vending machines available at the student area.
Students are required to bring their own laptops. There is shared access to computers and internet for students within the College. GBC have installed the maximum possible computers in each classroom – if you are not bringing your laptop, then PCs are provided in each room subject to availability. It will enable you to conduct research and access web based e-mails during your studies. Students will have access to their personal computer drive for the duration of their studies, which will be secure – however you are advised to back-up your files as well.
GBC complies with all relevant Workplace Health and Safety legislation. All College staff will actively take steps to identify hazards that could cause harm to students in your learning environment. Where possible, staff will take action to remove or control these hazards, and will report the hazard to the appropriate on site personnel. Where practicable, students must take responsibility for their own health and safety and that of their fellow students. This means students must follow all safety rules, procedures and the instructions of College staff and advise staff of any hazards you identify.
